  1. Well, the trip is on and the fishing is beyond belief. Yesterday was 70+ walleye, pike, and jumbo perch. Today was laketrout, 30 plus fish in about 4 hours of fishing, the biggest problem we had was trying to find some smaller fish, right now we are allowed 1 over 22", ( no problem there) and 1 under 22", best we could do was 2 under the 22" and that was stretching it. I have seen some good fishing in my time but I have to say I am impressed!

  2. Combining work with this insane want to fish summer's Arctic char often requires a tonne of planning and plenty of luck. It's never once been a given to just show up in Nunavut and have all things laid out just right for the fishing. Timing is everything, location key, experience golden and confidence a must but still, the monkey wrenches that got thrown into all my big plans were seemingly too much this time around. But yet in the end, having the stars align for just that one right chance, it made for an experience never to be forgotten. Char fishing is the culmination of entirely who I am and what I do for a living, there are few fish that give me the same rush. Blessed to have worked a long time and find a job that allows for such amazing fishing opportunities in the Arctic. Link on in for some northern exposure. https://bunksoutdoorangle.com/a-nunavut-nomad-viii-the-ivitarulik-redemption/

  3. I used Suicks a lot in the past Bill and always found they worked best...for me anyways...when they were neutral buoyant and just sat still between twitches. I liked to cut out a section of the belly and add stick on wheel weights then fill it in with epoxy. Different size baits would get different amounts of weights.

  4. Over the years we caught a few of them at Pointe Au Baril, all except 1 were caught in shallow weedy areas and were 6-8 pounds. One of my buddies got 1 in 16 - 18 feet of water that was pushing 20 pounds, it was a tank!

  5. I always keep an eye out for them at the tackle swaps. My avatar was caught on a 6” deep diving perch one.

  6. Hi all, can anyone recommend a simple, easy to use Youtube to MP3 converter? Trying to help my older neighbour download some songs for his MP3 player. Thanks,
