  1. This one will be a while for me to beat. It's definitely the heaviest rainbow I have ever caught.

  3. Hi Gents. I posted a while ago that I stepped on my Symetre reel and bent the internal handle. Took it in to Shimano in Peterborough last Thursday. Got her delivered back today. Super nice guy there to deal with. $30 for an overhaul including new handle and bearings plus $10 for shipping. I’m very impressed. That’s service 👌

  4. WOW WOW WOW What a deal I got on these new winter waders. They are basically hunting waders, but they will work for river fishing. Got them at the online auction here in Barrie. I always look on amazon, so I know what retail price is. I always set a price I will pay and wait til the final day . If I want something bad enough,I will compete bid . These I did not have to. I set a price at $75 and won them. Retail is $275 . I can not wait to wear these in the cold waters. They are quilted inside. They are so warm and soft . Boots are lined like a slipper . Cleated as well. Extra wear material on the butt and legs. Breathable . 6 days off coming up,so I will get to try them out.

  6. I had to look at the reel seat to see if it was my stolen rod. Lol. Just kidding of course.

  9. Just pick your days and do the research for the winds using all of the tools and apps available and if you can fish when the weather and winds permit and not just a weekend guy or your trips could be limited. It is not cheap to get started that’s for sure.

  10. How much do you want to spend on a boat? As mentioned before morning smaller than a 17 footer and get a deep haul. Prices of boats are up due to what lots are calling COVID pricing. Check Spoonpullers out for lots of information and do your research before posting questions as lots can be found by going back through posts. I also recommend 2 downriggers as well a couple dipseys setups and then go from there. Find deals on lures and gear online. Good luck with all of your searches etc.

  11. Check out Spoonpullers.com. Loads of info for beginners and lots of chatter during the season. Hope next season is better than than this last one. Worst I've ever had in 15 years.
