  1. Instead of going fishing this morning,I went up for breakfast with the parents. Been since last summer since I seen them due to covid. Sure was nice to visit again. While I was there,I got to feed the locals. My pop can walk out there as I said before, and feed them right from his hand. Me well, I was just lucky to see them and watch as I dropped off some feed. They knew I was not me pop,as they were leary and spooked very easy. The slightest crack of my foot step and they backed off. Pretty cool none the less.

  3. Sounds like myself after the first time I had those drops put in my eyes for an eye exam. Walked out and since it was breakfast and I had not eaten I went to a diner close by. The waitress gave me a menu and walked away to get my coffee. Opened it up and couldn't read a word, everything was just a blur.

  5. When the deciding powers of both our nations agree that it is OK. We voted these people in didn't we? Besides I also vote on the side of caution; not on the side of monetary expense being lost from loss of use. People who have bought out of their Country must abide by that (OTHER) Countries decision as to what's allowed. This whole thing has changed the "norm" lets deal with it calmly and smartly; we'll all be happier in the end. Dan.

  6. All I can say is, I'll stay on my side of the fence and you stay on yours. Once this whatever you want to call it is under control; we all can be friends again and enjoy each others company. Dan

  7. This has bugged me for years. As most here know, I'm in the automotive repair business. We are under a microscope as to what pollutants we generate during a vehicle's repair and how we dispose of; which I agree with and adhere too. We all need to clean up are act; but it feels redundant when I see a film company burning, blowing up crap up; just for entertainment satisfaction. I have paid out thousands of dollars to comply with environmental guide lines. Other small businesses have had to close due to these costs. Body shops for example; many of the small one man shops had to close. To stay in business they had to switch from oil based paints to water based. Had to install air scrubbers that are very costly; so much so it was out of the reach of many of these small shops. The show that irritated (although entertaining) was Myth Busters. They blew up, burnt up and released so many emissions, during their 20 seasons is un measurable. It was mostly filmed in and around San Francisco. California has one of the most stringent regulations in the world on emitting emissions; but this show was OK for almost 20 years? Stepping of soap box now. Dan.

  8. Last year was a total bust for me nothing saw the water but this year will be different! This little rig has seen quite a bit of water just not in the last few years, extremely stable in the water. With the 2.5 she moves pretty good as well However, ever since I got my Canoe the other boat sees mostly a storage rack. I will be moving this spring/summer to a place with lots of water around so getting both boats out will not be a problem, really looking forward to it!!!!

  9. Actually when the flyers come weekly from the grocers, they have the price per pound in large bold type and the metric in fine print. Most stuff is still packaged in pounds but they call it 454 grams now. The best is the frozen burgers from Costco, you can get 1/4 , 1/3 and 1/2 pound burgers but the total weight of the package is metric. Really it is a hybrid system even after 30 years, kind of like the forums here, everyone seems to do the temperature and weather in metric , but still catch 4 pound, 20 inch Bass on a 7 foot rod using 10 pound test in 15 feet of water from a 14 foot tinner

  10. Pretty much how the media works today Harley Biker A Harley biker is riding by the zoo in Louisiana when he sees a little girl leaning into the lion's cage. Suddenly, the lion grabs her by the cuff of her jacket and tries to pull her inside to slaughter her, under the eyes of her screaming parents. The biker jumps off his Harley, runs to the cage and hits the lion square on the nose with a powerful punch. Whimpering from the pain the lion jumps back letting go of the girl, and the biker brings her to her terrified parents, who thank him endlessly. A reporter has watched the whole event. The reporter addressing the Harley rider says, 'Sir, this was the most gallant and brave thing I've seen a man do in my whole life.' The Harley rider replies, 'Why, it was nothing, really, the lion was behind bars. I just saw this little kid in danger and acted as I felt right.' The reporter says, 'Well, I'll make sure this won't go unnoticed. I'm a journalist, and tomorrow's paper will have this story on the front page...So, what do you do for a living and what political affiliation do you have?' The biker replies, 'I'm a U.S. Marine and a Republican.' The journalist leaves. The following morning the biker buys the paper to see news of his actions, and reads, on the front page: U.S. MARINE ASSAULTS AFRICAN IMMIGRANT AND STEALS HIS LUNCH That pretty much sums up the media's approach to the news these days

  11. We have very close friends in Pennsylvania who holiday with us up here every June but sadly they missed it last June and there's every possibility we won't get together this year either. We ALL want this nightmare ended but as Dan said we don't want to push things and open the gates too early and we all end up back tracking.
