  3. It’s a bait catcher, also called “pilchard rings”. I first used one in the 70’s while fishing off a Pier in Florida, everyone was using them to catch small bait fish which they would then use to catch “real fish”. They sold them in the little fishing shop that was on the Pier. It was simply lowered into the water, and the bait fish would be all over it, attracted to the colourful material, and many would get their gills stuck in the wire loops. It was very effective. Ray.

  4. At $200.00 or even $250.00 I probably would have taken the one I did see but it was a very small one and looked pretty banged up. I thought about the Buddy heater and for daytime use that would be ok but I would like something with a thermostat so I don't fry or freeze during the night. I just found a Mr. Heater ventless one , built in O2 sensor, thermostat, wall mounted, $275.00. 30 day return policy so I think we are going to give it a try, it's rated for up to 700 sq ft. so it might be overkill but we do intend on expanding as we go. It sure would be nice to be able to turn it on in the afternoon and have our beds and everything warmed up by the time we are ready to call it a day.

  7. Bought new in 2006, 75 tiller, no complaints what so ever. Starts instantly every time and runs quieter than the Honda, right Fish Farmer.

  8. IMHO, an inflatable is not a great choice for a kid: will they be calm enough to inflate the vest after falling into cold, fast moving water? Maybe Autoinflate works better than I think it does. A good lifefacket - not PFD - seems to be what you are looking for. Just make sure it fits and is rated for his weight.
