  2. I'd be trolling the south shore with planer boards and Balsa minnow baits in less than 30 feet of water for Browns

  4. A fishing float tied to a good weight with about a foot of line, set the weight on the patio stone and you can find it really easy in the spring (as long as the lake doesn't freeze to the bottom). Saves repositioning every thing every spring 😊. Give the laziest man the toughest job and he'll find the easiest way to do it 😂

  5. Thx. I just kinda stumbled across the boat and picked it up cheap. I sold the old 2 stroke that was on it and put the new Yamaha on it and added a nice Lowrance. The carpet was in bad shape and literally floating at the back of the boat so I Replaced it with vinyl. I had a soft spot where the rear seat is so I cut it out and put in some new plywood and now it’s solid. These old Rangers have composite stringers and transom so they are pretty durable. 30 years old and doesn’t leak a drop.

  6. Here's a fox in the chicken coop story. When I was a kid on the farm, Dad raised chickens for the eggs. One night he heard a bunch of squawking coming from the coop. He grabs the shotgun and out he goes. When he opens the coop's door there was it was a red fox in the corner; with a chicken in its mouth. Dad raises the gun and pulls the trigger; just as the fox made a dart to the hole he dug under the wall. Dad missed the fox; but shot the chicken that the fox dropped. LOL We teased Dad about that for the next 50 years of his life. Been fox or should I say chicken hunting lately Dad? OH man do I miss the old bugger. Dan

  8. I guess there was a pic of the third fish coming in. We all thought it was a snag. Two different guys held a dead quiet pole with a rod bending pull. Ian went to the far side of the “snag” and still had a hard time pulling up the line; again dead quiet like pulling up a log. The planer board came in first and then to all our surprise a foul (in the back) hooked fish. Got the fish in the well and it was pretty still; but still upright. After about 5 minutes or so; a quick pic and then released. This very lethargic fish took off like a rocket when Ian release it. We all stood there saying that was the craziest SNAG we’ve ever seen. LOL This is Ian just before the release . Dan.
