Just phoned hoping to get out a few more times before the huts had to come off. Answering machine said because of all the snow and ice conditions they have pulled all their huts for the rest of this season. I don’t blame them, it must be pretty bad out there for them to call it quits already.

It's hard to travel out there right now. ATV travel is a no-go and some people are getting stuck on their snowmobiles. I trekked out last Thursday, walking was tough, had to use snowshoes. It's a big snowy slushy bog right now.

Not surprised, snow this year has made the lake a disaster.

On the positive side, I think this week will make things better than they were last week.. Can't get much tougher than it was.

Back in the 90s I pulled my hut in with a skidoo in 1’ of water.  
I’m glad I don’t have a hut out this year.
