Wabigoon Crappie.

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

The crappie are starting to show up in good numbers on the steep shoreline drop offs, not much happening with them on the reefs but they will be there soon enough. The ones we've been getting are really nice slabs, 14" would be average with a lot of 15"ers. They are pretty scattered, some even hitting suspended half way in the water column, but although spread out they are aggressive when you find a couple.

Leaving tomorrow morning for Dryden...looking forward to some great fish fries. Crappie are right behind Walleye and Perch on the shore lunch list.

Safe travels!
