Deer Bay, Lower Buckhorn

A family member is looking at a cottage on Deer Bay, Lower Buckhorn in the Kawarthas.

Can a locals or frequent visitors advise how are the weeds during the spring and summer seasons?

It drops off pretty quick in Deer Bay, so the weeds will be manageable.   Still thick off the shore though until it gets 8-12ft deep.

I haven't fished Deer Bay in Lower Buckhorn for years but the weeds were not too bad! There is quite a bit near shore but once you got out to 10-12 FOW there usually was a nice edge!

Yeah, weeds are not bad over there. You will be fine. Different story if you go on the other side of the channel.
