Owen Posted July 10, 2020 Report Posted July 10, 2020 So just wondering if you can fish there. I know the land is actually owned by the region and it’s a “public” golf course but you still have to pay for golf. Can I fish this?
Terry Posted July 10, 2020 Report Posted July 10, 2020 Public golf course means you don’t need to be a member to golf. So no you can’t trespass to fish. However if you paid to golf and you stopped at the water hazard and threw a few baits. The worst they could do is ask you to leave 1 1

Some held trout some had megamongo largies. One course I knew the owner and could fish it late in the evenings for those bass.
Old Ironmaker Posted July 18, 2020 Report Posted July 18, 2020 (edited) I once asked the owner of a course in southern Ontario that was hauling in 4 to 6 pound Largemouth one after the other what I needed to do to fish the ponds. He nonchalantly said all I needed was 10 million dollars to buy it and fish to my hearts content. In Florida owners encourage pond fishing to get rid of the fish that brings in big Gators to feed on. OhioFisherman Posted July 21, 2020 Report Posted July 21, 2020 I am in Ohio, usually the only way you can get to fish a golf course pond here is to know someone very well that runs the place.
