captpierre Posted May 5, 2020 Report Posted May 5, 2020 After 13 years is it necessary to replace fuel hoses and bulb from boat to motor? I understand they deteriorate inside.
OhioFisherman Posted May 5, 2020 Report Posted May 5, 2020 I would, better to replace them now than have a problem on the water? My boat had removable tanks, but like 12 years or near that one hose sprang a leak.

Ethanol is brutal on rubber so if you run ethanol gas you are more likely to have an issue.
porkpie Posted May 5, 2020 Report Posted May 5, 2020 Mine is about the same vintage. I’m thinking about replacing it shortly. I don’t run ethanol fuel but the rubber is starting to look a little bit sketchy. It can’t hurt. I’m going to get replacement line from my local marina though, not that junk from Canadian tire.
