Raycaster Posted April 23, 2020 Report Posted April 23, 2020 Trying to clean up toons and having trouble tracking down Star Brite Aluminum cleaner in Hamilton area, Its seems OOS or way overpriced. Is there a decent alternative? I’ve seen YouTube use vinegar 50/50 and mention of CLR but warnings too. If anyone’s has any tricks I’d love to hear them. Thx ahead.
OhioFisherman Posted April 23, 2020 Report Posted April 23, 2020 Never did anything like this but the acid based stuff seems a hassle?

Not sure about the availability up there, but I have used this on my aluminum boat trailers. https://www.amazon.com/Toon-Brite-B1000-Aluminum-Cleaner-Gal/dp/B001443NF0

Old Ironmaker Posted April 25, 2020 Report Posted April 25, 2020 Sand, primer, 2 coats of paint and 2 coats of clear. Never have to clean aluminium again.
