Very lucky to settling down up there .. as Chris said "God's Country"

easy driving distance to the best fishing in Ontario I would think ... Quetico is still on my bucket list ... time is flying by and i'm not getting any younger

Quetico is just amazing, so fewer people than anything down here, esp compared to Algonquin. no signage anywhere but portages and campsites obvious. fishing is great. some of the campsites were the best I've ever had the privilege of setting my tent upon.

pro tip - bring a metal trowel with a serrated edge on one side. makes digging catholes less aggravating ;)

I was in Thunder Bay for a year at LU around 2010 and just came back, is there anything to do?

I don’t even know where to start. The fishing is so good there. Dryden, nicest people in the world. Lake of the woods. Red Lake is pretty cool for a day trip.

Climb the sleeping Giant. Best view of Lake Superior.
