chris.brock Posted May 16, 2017 Report Posted May 16, 2017 I am posting this for a friend. He bought a 22' boat, he keeps it at Fifty Point. He wants to have his 4 downriggers on the back. Is there anyone that does custom work like this? He is thinking he needs a plate to go across the back of the boat with short pedestals to mount the downriggers on. Thanks in advance.
grimsbylander Posted May 16, 2017 Report Posted May 16, 2017 It's my understanding the guys at Grimsby Tackle do installations. Martin might be able to offer up some good tips on layout and they're close by to Fifty Point.

Old Ironmaker Posted May 17, 2017 Report Posted May 17, 2017 PM me Chris. Buddy custom makes these, stainless, aluminum and hardwood. Makes rod towers too. The shop is in the Haldimand area, west of Dunnville. Give me your email, I think I have some pics here. I had better start charging finders fees to all these people I know that I get work for!!
FloatnFly Posted May 17, 2017 Report Posted May 17, 2017 run two off the back and two off the side, my dad had a similar setup with his boat. he had a 2x6 drilled holes at either end, and used a couple of eye bolts that he had bent the eye open to hook under the cleats on his boat, and then mounted his downriggers on that
