Beans Posted May 5, 2016 Report Posted May 5, 2016 St Dave's Diner burnt to the ground around 11:30 pm last night...no cause reported yet...strange seeing as how they close around 03:00pm in the afternoon... Big Cliff introduced the diner to Maribeth and me shortly after we moved up this way...we will miss their great food...
GBW Posted May 5, 2016 Report Posted May 5, 2016 They did make a post on FB (St Dave's folks) but no clue since. They intend to rebuild ASAP as per what I was reading.

Big Cliff Posted May 5, 2016 Report Posted May 5, 2016 Beans, try out the Durham Cafe. Another wonderful place to eat in the interm. From what I understand one firefighter was hurt; burned wrist or hand. I was told that the fire started in the kitchen but I thought there was a sprinkler system in the kitchen. I wonder if it malfunctioned or something.
jimmer Posted May 6, 2016 Report Posted May 6, 2016 Mistos is also another option. It's where St. Dave's used to be.
