DRIFTER_016 Posted May 23, 2015 Report Posted May 23, 2015 Had a couple of hours of paddling in the Yak out on the open section of my lake today. It was blowing harder than was forecast-ed so paddling into the wind sucked pretty bad. Two hours of trolling was all I could handle. I strained a tendon in my left elbow back when I was hauling wood to the cabin and it is pretty sore now. Gettin' old sucks!!!! There is a mile or so of open water right now but last weekend there was barely any at all. I was surprised how much disappeared in less than a week. Time to get the boat ready and out on the lake for a run next weekend.
kickingfrog Posted May 23, 2015 Report Posted May 23, 2015 With such a short season I don't blame you for getting out as soon as possible.

Moosebunk Posted May 25, 2015 Report Posted May 25, 2015 Spent a good 10 hours the past couple weeks tying up jigs for some BIG laker loving. Sniffing the head cement and thinking of Slave! Enjoy as much as ya can each short season Dave.
