selcram Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 Hey there! Disco Phish and I decided to forgoe the bugs this weekend and stay on local water. The water was calm and it was mild out. The fish weren't biting but he did manage to land a good sized pike late in the afternoon. We decided to head out mid-morning on Sunday despite the weather conditions because we figured that was the type of day the fish would be biting and sure enough they were. Although we weren't able to stay out long due to the choppy water and rain, we hooked into three fish, between 3-5 pounds. All in all, a good weekend. Looking forward to hitting more lakes further up north on our many planned camping trips.
Roy Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 WTG folks! You did good. Looking forward to hearing about your summer adventures.
lookinforwalleye Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 Nice pike I am going to have to try Cooks one day that used to be my old stomping grounds when I was a kid, by the way if you want to catch more fish you will need more rods. LOL
ccmtcanada Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 Wow...great job out there...fishing in less than ideal weather really paid off! Real nice looking pike you both caught there. Good luck on your next fishing trip!
