kickingfrog Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 First I've seen this. Part of the enjoyment of a fire is the maintenance, but what ever floats your boat.
chris.brock Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 pretty cool, that stuff was bone dry though, you could light a fire anyway you want with that wood
misfish Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 pretty cool, that stuff was bone dry though, you could light a fire anyway you want with that wood X2 But still very cool.
solopaddler Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 Soaking the logs with naptha gas makes the process even more efficient.
Christopheraaron Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 (edited) At 2:54, what was that? Lighting a burner? Ya, gas burner. One thing I kind of wonder about this method is dealing with wind, building bottom bp certainly helps a bit with that. Edited May 12, 2014 by Christopher k
Gerritt Posted May 13, 2014 Report Posted May 13, 2014 Instead of starting a new thread I will add this here. I think this is a neat idea for an outdoor cooker. I could see it expanded to say three burners for outside a cottage etc.. G
wormdunker Posted May 13, 2014 Report Posted May 13, 2014 Do not use concrete blocks! When heated up small pieces of concrete will pop off & fly out similar to sparks from your wood. The pieces are very hot & they hurt!
