Couchiching ??

Thinking about heading there for some pike this weekend and was wondering if the spawn is still on, is it to early ?

 

Any thoughts ???

Pike will usually spawn under the ice in a lot of cases. I didn't think Couch had a big population of pike anyhow.

Thanks Bill.... I usually head into Georgian Bay, but thought I'd try something a little closer to home since I'm taking my 82 yr old dad along for the ride..

At the perch fest last weekend I saw a couple of pikes cruising around in the marina's but it looked like they didn't have much interest in feeding just yet.

Haven't been this year but I usually catch them in the south end literally out of the launch in the bed's

We were catching on gbay last week in nasty weather, so they should still be around.

North end of the lake up around the Trent Severn Have done well trolling the brake wall and edge of he channel this time of year.
