bassinator Posted April 4, 2014 Report Posted April 4, 2014 Hey all...bringing the family to Disney the beginning of May and was hoping to steal away one day of fishing. Can anyone recommend an offshore charter company whinin an hour or so of Disney. Any info would be much appreciated...thanks Jeff
Fang Posted April 4, 2014 Report Posted April 4, 2014 some very interesting opportunities just east out of Cocoa beach. There's lots of offshore stuff but after my trip in March I'd recommend an inshore day for redfish out of Mosquito Lagoon. The flats are fishable pretty much every day regardless of the winds and loads of fish around - redfish, trout, black drum. You get to fish light tackle too and boy do redfish pull hard. In May you should find the Tarpon also getting good in the canals and offshore beaches.
bigugli Posted April 5, 2014 Report Posted April 5, 2014 Disney has their own BASS charter service within the park. Fishing locales are in front of the Kingdom, Disney downtown, or over by Epcot
Maverick Posted April 5, 2014 Report Posted April 5, 2014 Lake Kissimee isn't too far and there are massive bass in there.
bassinator Posted April 5, 2014 Author Report Posted April 5, 2014 Thanks for the replies guys.. maybe I'll try inshore for reds and maybe luck into Tarpon..thanks again Jeff
mistaredone Posted April 5, 2014 Report Posted April 5, 2014 Groupon has a bass fishing guide deal right now with 151 charters. $180 for 4 hours $240 for 8 hours. Cheapest you will find. Charters are out of Topo I think. Big bass lake right close to Orlando resorts
msp Posted April 7, 2014 Report Posted April 7, 2014 My buddy is there right now taunting me with pictures. He is sending me further into depression as I was supposed to go with himFirst he gets an 11 pound 7 ounce bass. Then he gets the biggest Amberjack his guide has ever seen. ( the guide hold 4 IGFA records )Plenty of fish to be had in Florida if you know where to look. Ahhhhh to be unmarried without children
