ctered Posted August 4, 2013 Report Share Posted August 4, 2013 The heat shields that cover the burners on my BBQ are all rusting and falling apart. At $20 a piece and needing 5 of them it will be pricey. I was wondering about making them out of aluminum. I have 1/4 aluminum 5 inches wide that I would be using. DOS Posted August 4, 2013 Report Share Posted August 4, 2013 The aluminum wont hold up to the heat,tried it before, what i did was use an old grill from another bbq, and put the ceramic bricks into it just like the old days, 2 years now and still going...
