Guidofisherman Posted April 24, 2013 Report Posted April 24, 2013 Whether its Global warming, seasonal differences or some other weather phenomenon, this year is significantly different than last year. The first photo was taken last year on April 18th. All the lakes and rivers had been open since mid March and this fish marked the impending end to last year's steelhead run. The second photo was taken today! There is still 3 feet of ice on the lakes and no rivers are running more than a trickle. It has been a long winter....I need to get fishing!!!
HTHM Posted April 24, 2013 Report Posted April 24, 2013 We get it, this year is different than last year....
Old Man Posted April 24, 2013 Report Posted April 24, 2013 The ice around here is still good to go chase Lakers. A great way to kill sometime waiting for open water.
irishfield Posted April 24, 2013 Report Posted April 24, 2013 Hey Al... head over to Dan's.. .he's got a case of beer, his feet on a stool and just looking out at the same view in the yard!! lol
Ron Posted April 24, 2013 Report Posted April 24, 2013 I know, we are actually thinking about postponing our trip until Labour day weekend. Perhaps by then, the lake and rivers will be open.
Rod Caster Posted April 24, 2013 Report Posted April 24, 2013 Very large shift from last year... Makes it difficult to schedule any spring fishing trips!
