krixxer Posted October 15, 2012 Report Posted October 15, 2012 I made a quick trip to the lake on Saturday. We only had a few hours before the weather would hit so we got started out to the spot. The action was fast and furious with but so was the wind. In the end we got blown off after two hours but it was the best dam two hours of perchin' ever.
Rod Caster Posted October 15, 2012 Report Posted October 15, 2012 Nice! I'm waiting for Nipissing to freeze over. I love me a good perchin' season.
Skipper D Posted October 15, 2012 Report Posted October 15, 2012 Now you have me inspired to get out there , thank you for sharing .
Fisherman Posted October 15, 2012 Report Posted October 15, 2012 That's a nice bunch of fillets, maybe this weekend.
mike rousseau Posted October 16, 2012 Report Posted October 16, 2012 Nice I'm supposed to go perching on Sunday.... My buddy is on some shallow water perch casting ultra light spinners.... Fast and furious slabs are awesome....
Donnie Posted October 16, 2012 Report Posted October 16, 2012 Nice Shun! So what'd you do with the fillets?
krixxer Posted October 16, 2012 Author Report Posted October 16, 2012 We used perch crack on a drop shot 35 feet down. I've never casted for perch, I'm lazy! I just try to get on top of them. The tupperware gets filled up with water and then frozen. Next time I'm ready for a fish fry I pull one out and thaw it out in the fridge. the Shun, that one there is a santoku premiere , makes me feel like a ninja in the kitchen
Billy Bob Posted October 19, 2012 Report Posted October 19, 2012 I have been DYING to get out on Lake Erie......but it's been BLOWING HARD every time I can fish...
