sleepjigging
A warm front just went through, with rain and fog, but it was part of a low pressure system. Is this equal to a "cold front" where the pressure drops and fish go into lock jaw mode? Jiggy
EC1
Barometric Pressure & Bass Here's an article that I read recently about this stuff. The guy explains things better than I ever could. In my books, I don't ever get that scientific and go fishing anyways for a few reasons: 1. If the weather during the weekend goes sour, you just have to prepare yourself for the weather. 2. There's likely still a fish or two willing to bite no matter what the weather is. 3. At the end of the year you don't want to kick yourself for not having gone fishing enough. chris.brock
I've experienced this a few times before, when it's been hot, dry, stable summer weather for days, and there's a front approaching, when you're on the water, you can feel the wind pick-up and change direction, you can almost feel the storm approaching and the pressure moving, the fish can go crazy and can be super active, it's very cool to experience and can be awesome fishing I remember one specific time while fishing in Port Severn, the fish went bananas before the storm came through

young_one
During a cold front, it can be some of the best fishing. Its the post-cold front you need to worry about. Fisherman
Not sure about a cold front, but my ex-wife demonstrated a cold back many times! I thought it was what happens when the wife asks what's on TV and you reply dust....and then the Arctic winds blew for months...
