chefboi17 Posted September 23, 2012 Report Posted September 23, 2012 Hey all, I am setting up a tinny with a 20 merc, and I need to get a few parts to get the motor up and running properly. I was going to order parts online, however if anyone here has a favorite marina/dealer that you trust, and know are honest price wise, I would love to hear it. I would honestly rather support a local business if I can, as long as pricing is competative with other places I have found. Thanks guys
ttahhan Posted September 23, 2012 Report Posted September 23, 2012 Perhaps Bass Pro Shops as i believe they are a Merc Dealer.....hope this helps, which parts are you looking for ???
Woodsman Posted September 23, 2012 Report Posted September 23, 2012 If your not in a big rush your local UAP/NAPA store can order in most parts at a reasonable price. Ask to see the marine cataloge. Delivery can be 3 days to 3 weeks.
John Bacon Posted September 23, 2012 Report Posted September 23, 2012 Central Outboard Marine at Woodbine and 7 carries Mercury. I have never bought parts from him but I got a good price on a boat.
chefboi17 Posted September 23, 2012 Author Report Posted September 23, 2012 Thanks guys, I'll look into those sources. What i need is a few pieces to the throttle, and shift linkage setup on a tiller shift merc, and some basic maintenance parts like an impeller.
Pikeslayer Posted September 24, 2012 Report Posted September 24, 2012 Call Dave@ City Marine. Tell him Simon referred you.
torco Posted September 24, 2012 Report Posted September 24, 2012 Call Dave@ City Marine. Tell him Simon referred you. I will second City Marine. They are right on the queensway in toronto.
woodenboater Posted September 24, 2012 Report Posted September 24, 2012 I've had good experiences with both City and Central, guess it depends on where you're located and which is easier for you to visit.
