Dutch Posted September 22, 2012 Report Posted September 22, 2012 I have been out on the lake in some serious rain this year and my Wetskins Jacket and Pants don't cut it. Please let me know about some good rain suits with bib overalls/pants that will keep me relatively dry in 20 k.m. winds in the pouring rain. Would like to have them for duty in Spring, Summer and Fall if possible. Or is it better to get different suits?
Handlebarz Posted September 22, 2012 Report Posted September 22, 2012 BPS 100mph or the one that is a step down I have it and love it its light enough that in the summer its not to hot and just layer up in the fall its great. I have the heavy lined one from Caballas its awesome but its not good for summer use it dang hot.
b2kptbo Posted September 22, 2012 Report Posted September 22, 2012 Darin, I got my rain gear at LeBaron's. Light weight, folds up good and was about $50...
mike rousseau Posted September 22, 2012 Report Posted September 22, 2012 Cabelas guidewear Amazing stuff.... And I think it's on sale... It was last week
young_one Posted September 22, 2012 Report Posted September 22, 2012 Frabill's FXE bib. Try them on, you wont be disappointed, especially some of the unique designs. Zipper to inner shorts pocket, waist velcro to reduce stress from the suspenders and etc.
fishnsled Posted September 22, 2012 Report Posted September 22, 2012 Cabelas guidewear Amazing stuff.... X2 - Bought the non lined suit last year and it has been great - spring, summer and fall.

Ron Posted September 23, 2012 Report Posted September 23, 2012 BPS Pro Qualifier. I use mine year round, It's the only gear i wear Ice fishing. I take out the liner for Spring Summer and Fall. They have made them with new material this year. I am field testing it now and so far so good. I had to buy a new set as my last ones gave up the ghost after 5 years of use. They were washed so many time the outer shell was no longer water repellant! To me, I have not found anything remotely as good of product as the Pro Qualifiers.
uglyfish Posted September 23, 2012 Report Posted September 23, 2012 The BPS 100MPH is great. The BPS pro qualifier is the bext model down and is excellant. I own it. The simms rainsuit is an amazing suit, I know several guys that own it and they have nothing but praise for it. The shimano dryfender suit has had lots of good reviews and I know a few guys who own it and love it. But they have pants with suspenders u can attach, not actual bibs
Dutch Posted September 24, 2012 Author Report Posted September 24, 2012 Thanks all for the suggestions.
solopaddler Posted September 24, 2012 Report Posted September 24, 2012 The simms rainsuit is an amazing suit, I know several guys that own it and they have nothing but praise for it. This is by far the best suit currently on the market imo, although very pricy. SAIL currently has them marked down to $600, regularly $900. I think I'm gonna buy two of them.
ttahhan Posted September 24, 2012 Report Posted September 24, 2012 Here's a couple of links check em out ....... HPR BONE-DRY Affordable Rain Gear 100mph Gore Tex Pro Rain gear Pro If you in the serious.....
decamo Posted September 25, 2012 Report Posted September 25, 2012 BPS Pro Qualifier or Cabelas Guidewear, I own both and must say probably the best investment ever for the boat. A bit pricey but fishing only gets better when you are warm, dry and comfortable in a cold rain flying across the lake in a bass boat.
