  1. to the best of my knowledge you have 5 years to go from g1 - g2, once you get your g2 you have so long to get your g. call the MOT, they will give you the correct info.
  2. i have played around with them in the shop, nice units for sure. the info i received from the guys at marcum tech. is if you havent used a flasher before, then the showdown unit is one you should look at, its easier for a beginner to read with the linear graph. If you do have experience using a flasher then you should probably stick with the L-series flasher as they are technically a better unit.
  3. keep Terry's setup until the end of the season and i will see what deals i can get you in november
  4. i thought you gave it up?????? :P:P Yes, Flipping in shallow water, CL Fishin Pro Flipping Jigs and our 4.5" Flappin Craw!!!!!!! there is nothing like hitting the lake armed with a 7.5ft telephone pole and 65lb braid!!!!!!!
  5. Well, i bought a Frogg Toggs set mid year this year and i have the Shimano Dryfender set coming in the spring if that says anything.
  6. My 115 4stroke merc will do the same on a cool or cold day.
  7. what rods were you trying, there are tons that i have handled that were very light sensitive
  8. Well, after this year it would be the new Cumara 7'-2" xfast med dropshot rods with a stradic CI4 2500
  9. Driver makes all the difference. it is nice to see the organizers put the safety of its anglers first.
  10. 20k wind gusting to 40k in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Quebec according to environment canada
  11. they have had to cancel day 2 due to severe weather, the awards ceremony will take place at noon.
  12. I just ordered the Shimano Dryfender 3T coat and bibs for myself.
  13. some big bags being weighed in, 23.51 topped the scales the last i saw, and i lost count how many 18lb bags i saw weighed.
  14. For a decent rod and reel "combo" you should be able to get something for less than $200. (Just basing on what i have in the store here you should be able to get something like a 6'6" Okuma Dead Eye 2pc Med rod and an Okuma Epixor 25b for less than $200 out the door). Take a look around though, if you are looking to spend more then look at the NEW Shimano Clarus Walleye Rods that are coming out. There is a 6'8" MH and 7' Med 2pc coming and should sell for around $125.00, I got to play with them last Sunday and they are a nice rod. Pair one up with a Sedona or Sahara and you will be golden.
  15. nothing saying you cant, if thats what you are comfortable with then go for it. I am more comfortable with a spinning setup (7'2" crucial MED dropshot rod and stradic 2500)
  16. IIRC that fish was 57" x 33", which if you calculate the weight, the formula puts that fish at 77.59 pounds (one of the more conservative formulas i have seen). I really would have liked to see an actual weight to see how close it is to the estimated weight. Beautiful fish either way.
  17. Sorry Rolly, forgot to mention i'm using a 7'2" Med Crucial with a Stradic 2500FJ. So far my best success has been with 20lb Power Pro with 15lb Seaguar Flouro Leader, size 1 and 1/0 Trokar drop shot hooks and 1/4oz - 1/2oz ball weights in LSC and 3/8oz - 1/2oz pencil weights in SCR. Seems too heavy with the leader but so far has worked out quite well. if we get out before the classic you can take it for a spin.
  18. whenever you make some time to stop by Rolly, i got some stuff here for ya
  19. brought in a bunch last year and had issues with breaking on 3/4 of them, read some reviews stating the same as well.
  20. i have 4 crucials paired with stradics and 3 paired with chronarcs and find they balance nicely. nice and sensitive as well. Compre's are a very nice rod as well, and you cant beat the warranty.
  21. neither, I own a tackle shop, so if i want to get paid this week i have to sell everything i can LOL. it is kind of nice having everything at my disposal when i need it though
  22. if you dont mind hitting sombra Mike, ship it to the ferry (US address) and pick it up. they charge $5 to accept and hold it and you get it through customs faster and cheaper
  23. Debatet whether or not to post pics of mine but what the heck. only problem i have is that i have to sell it LOL. it does come in handy when i am going fishing and need something cause its usually on the shelf somewhere.
  24. exactly, i use 20# PP and vary from 8# - 15# flouro leaders depending on presentation. for pike, 30# PP and check the line (after every fish) and retie when necessary. i always tie direct and have not lost a lure yet.
  25. the only info the machines collect is name, DOB, height, eye colour, address, Phone number and the licenses you wish to purchase (also whether or not you wish to receive correspondence)
