Entropy Posted June 5, 2012 Report Posted June 5, 2012 What happens when you feed propane to a natural gas stove. I understand that the 'jets' should be changed, but could you just hook it up and keep the knob low? Anyone ever try this? Just doing some thinking for the cabin. Entropy
lew Posted June 5, 2012 Report Posted June 5, 2012 We don't have gas here and switched to propane and just swapped out the gas jets with propane jets that came with the stove, and as davey mentioned, a regulator is also required.
mercman Posted June 6, 2012 Report Posted June 6, 2012 x4. If the range has no LP orrifices, most companies supply them as a conversion kit. The gas valve/regulators can be switched to either Nat or LP gas at the flick of a switch or turn of a screw. The bake and broil burners work off the gas valve/regulator so the conversion kit contains 4 spuds with the proper size orrifices.
