Rich Clemens Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 That's the one article I printed off for my archives. I agree ... great read.
douG Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 Agree again. A welcome change from the 'As some of you all know.... but' stuff. IMO that level of writing has no reason to be published. Get a mentor already. Do some reading yourself to see what speaks to you. JP is a great fisherman because he always has a plan, and commitment to work that plan. Thanks to the original wildman for that great article.
TJQ Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 Glad ya guys liked it... I also got this really cool email ... happens whenever I think no ones actually reading this stuff.... -------------------------- As a desk guy here in San Francisco, I get back to Buffalo a few times a year. Every July we head up to Cottage country for some great fishing and relaxing. Seeing this great monthly magazine makes me put the work aside for an hour and totally relax viewing the great articles. They are done so well - I feel like I am right there in the boat, with the sights, sounds and smells of being right there on the lake! I love Canada and the beauty it offers. But we must remember beauty and clean natural resources are not only a gift, but a responsibility to enhance, maintain and pass on to future generations as good or better than we found it! The Article by J.P. Bushy hits home hard when he concludes by saying he prepared to safely release that huge Musky by having the right tools in the boat for a safe live release. THAT is the kind of responsibility I am talking about, and hope all anglers will realize those great tasting dinners are all made batter knowing we are all practicing conservation fishing methods this and every year ahead. Thanks again for the great work on the magazine. B.B. Belmont, CA
Roy Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 That IS a nice email to receive, TJ. Never kid yourself, people are reading the OFC newsletter from the four corners of the earth.....I know a few who are reading in Australia.. JP is one of a kind when it comes to the outdoors. Give yourself a pat on the back for making it happen TJ......ok, ok pat Monique on the back too then. Great stuff!
Daplumma Posted March 13, 2007 Report Posted March 13, 2007 Was thinking about JP the other day.Is he on the new board yet? Joe
