Niagara ice

Pst week has been great for getting out on some of the local ice. Heck, even the fish were playing nice for a couple of days. Regretably the high cell stalled the bite the past 2 days but the weather was too beautiful to pass up.

Now if only the ice at the smelt grounds would firm up.

Looks good!!! I'd love to go for some smelt through the ice....I heard they were in pretty thick by Fishmaster's last week....but I don't think the ice is holding up too well down there right now...

I believe there is good numbers of smelt at Ramey's Bend every Winter, Rick.

Should of got a pic of me walking up the hill.My hut,auger and rods went for a ride into the drink.The little open soft spot.The sled stayed with me.All good and laughing about it.
