dada2727 Posted August 29, 2009 Report Posted August 29, 2009 Hey guys, just wondering if anyone knew of some good shore fishing spots that are a close drive from brooklin. Living here temporarly and until I get back to bobcaygeon next year, the only close spots I know of are alway very busy and have cars flying by. (port perry causeway and just west of there). Any help would be appreciated, just looking for some panfish and will be releasing everything.
Bly Posted August 29, 2009 Report Posted August 29, 2009 Scugog is really your best location but instead of the causeway, try the boat launch and or the docks in town. Only other places that come to mind would be the conservation areas....Heber Downs and Lynne Shores. Good Luck
Sinker Posted August 29, 2009 Report Posted August 29, 2009 A little further to drive, but Garden Hill CA, and the Kendall crown land both have ponds full of panfish. You might even get lucky and hook into a rainbow. S.
fish-miester Posted August 29, 2009 Report Posted August 29, 2009 Mud lake is really close.., lake scugog (just north of the boat launch, or by the library..) , nonquon river (once you get to port perry head north on old simcoe and fish off the bridge)
GBW Posted August 29, 2009 Report Posted August 29, 2009 You know where the cell tower is by the c-store? take the path South to the pond
daryl0815 Posted August 30, 2009 Report Posted August 30, 2009 There are is a pond called Mill Pond right near downtown Uxbridge, on Main st S. that is stocked with brook trout, I dont think they get too big in there, and there may be some panfish in there aswell it has been a while since I went there.
