Rich Posted July 17, 2009 Report Posted July 17, 2009 Headed out with the GF yesterday morning in search of browns as per usual.. a few casts and I was into a really good one, probably 3-4lbs but lost it at my feet as I was too high up to horse it up and not quick enough to jump into the water and grab it before it shook the hook. Soon enough after I put the magic flower behind my ear and instantly was into another brown. This one too was a decent one but was dwarfed by the one I lost. Caught on a Blue Fox spinner, silver blade yellow fur. Hit a couple spots after that real quick but the little lady wasn't feeling too good so we headed home. Back at 'er today.
MCTFisher9120 Posted July 17, 2009 Report Posted July 17, 2009 Nice Fish Rich! Guess that flower worked...but I'll leave that good luck charm to you Thanks for sharing, MTBF
dave524 Posted July 17, 2009 Report Posted July 17, 2009 Very nice fish, I lived in Port Rowan back in the seventies and did a lot of concession hopping with a little blue pamphlet from the Ministry " Trout Fishing in Norfolk County ". Glad to see that the brown fishery is still that good. Maybe I'll take a drive that way with the ultralight before the end of the season.
snag Posted July 17, 2009 Report Posted July 17, 2009 Hey man, Try 2 flowers for a double-header? or B.C. cronic works well for carp I think? That fish is a beauty
Spiel Posted July 17, 2009 Report Posted July 17, 2009 That's a great looking brown Rich but I'll reserve comment on the flower.
