Anybody know what the procedure is for US visitors, I know they dont need a card, do they fill out a waiver or something??

When I took my boat to Canada last year I had to register it at the border and that was it.

I feel pretty sure that Canada would honor my Alabama boating license if I was ever checked.

Only if you don't get caught ;) .... our "open container" law applies to the road and the water.

If a US visitor AND their boat is in Canada for 45 days or less they only have to follow their local regulations (PFD's, throwing devices, licenses).

Ontario's open container laws apply though :D

AND the 0.05 restriction on operating a boat.

If a non resident of Canada is operating a Canadian licensed or registered watercraft, than they are required to meet the Canadian Operator Competency requirements.
