robinwood Posted October 19, 2008 Report Posted October 19, 2008 well, fish were shallow - not large but more than we have ever caught on Thanksgiving weekend in 10 years we caught a fair number like the photos below all LM under a 1lb - hit orange rapalas almost as soon as it hit the surface in 6-8 feet of water over weeds -one family in a nearvy boat thought he had a large Northern on and was very excited when he saw how large it was before it went under his boat and broke off- I quite suspect it was a Musky- since I understand there are few if any Pike in Kasagawiganmog (is that correct) - I told hime it was probably a Musky and he was very exited - I used our standards of "if you see it ,it counts" - since we use barbless hooks - we see lots but do not always get them out of the water - but what a beautiful 3 days for a thanksgiving weekend!
limeyangler Posted October 19, 2008 Report Posted October 19, 2008 great report, wow...looks so warm there still...lol...T-shirts...if only. Its hitting minus temps at night now every night....oh well, not long before i'm drillin' holes. Thanks for sharing that tropical thanksgiving report.
BillM Posted October 19, 2008 Report Posted October 19, 2008 Nice report! Looks like you hit turnover at just the right time
Leecher Posted October 19, 2008 Report Posted October 19, 2008 Great report and pics robinwood Looks like a fun weekend on the water Thanks for sharing Leechman
muskie_bob Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 Nice fish, I used to fish Kashag a lot and I will agree pike are very rare but there are still some muskie to be found in there.
singingdog Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 If it was a pike, that would be extremly unusual for Kash. There's more than 'some' musky in Kash, there's some monsters in there. That whole chain holds a fair # of musky, and large ones.
b2kptbo Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 Glad ya's had a good weekend and most likely was a Musky from that lake...
