mercforever Posted August 17, 2008 Report Share Posted August 17, 2008 well ,the boy outfished the old man again,fished for pike with no success so we focused on catchin' smallies. 2nd cast...... we probably put a dozen in the boat,his caught on a dang worm,single hook,cost 2 cents,mine,10 4" senkos,$1o,go figure....my best... all fish relating to rock structure,lots of algae,dont know if its just starting or finishing its cycle... talked to a local at the launch,walleye guy, trolls 13' to 20' on a long line,wally divers,perch pattern,slays em all day... 1.4 to 1.6 mph is essential,or, as he put it,you might as well put you're dick the water... all and all ,still a good day,better days to come soon.......
