Great topic Roy . I live 10 miles from ground 0 I wasn't here in 2001 but I have met many people who where on site and lost family there. While the site is being rebuilt the damaged and loss still effects famiiies here. The thing to remeber is love your family and be kind to one another . Thanks again Roy

ok here we go folks last year it was monster walleyes and now we have monster salmon from these two!!!! I can hardly wait for next year to see what they pull out of the water!! Congrats Cliff that is a beautiful fish!!

I use a shock leader because I throw 5>6 oz of lead plus a few more ozs of bait with a 12' surf rod. I can get 100 yrds every time and some times get up to 150 yrds. Cliff was using a shock leader to add some stretch to his line as he was using power pro which has no stretch to speak of .The shock leader allows for some forgiveness of braided line's lack of stretch without tacking up space on the spool. I am verythankful that it happened over the water and not in mid cast as the lead would have shot down the beach where there were other fisherman!!!

What I love is that in here New Jersey you have to be careful when remove sea weeds for your line/hooks the jelly fish will be on there too and you can't see them . I've swam through a school of them while surfing and it does hurt , but I've never seen fresh water jellies. COOL
