i work in a team of 8, and I'm the only one without a university degree. my sales numbers have been among the best in our team over the last four years. with only a college diploma I had to start in a lower position, but once the door opens, the education becomes secondary. government jobs are really the only ones that get truly stuck on education levels....the rest, I've found, depend on your abilities and skills.

i work up the street from his location. while my maxxum was going through its issues, i visited every few days to get updates (it was middle of fishing season, and the motor was brand new). each time he replaced more and more things, until finally the whole bottom end was replaced. while there I saw folks picking up their reels and very few were happy. one fella said he picked up his stradic for the third time only to still feel the broken tooth on the gear. when this fella questioned what was done, the guy's reply behind the counter (the son of the original owner), was "oh, I thought you just wanted a standard service". when the now frustrated customer pointed out the service order said replace gears, all that was said was I'll have to order a new set of gears...be three more weeks. any reel work that now needs to be done goes back to peterborough for me. at least I know it gets done correctly, the first time. thats too bad though, as aikmans in right near my office. i asked fishing world about it, as they are the ones who told me to go there. mike commented now that the son has taken over, things aren't as solid as they once were....guess the father was a stand up, quality repairman.

aikman's isn't want it used to be. i would never send anything I own there. i believe the son has taken over for the father, and their expertise isn't what it once was. i had a 80lbs maxxum go there three times before he finally got it right.

we had our filing lady at work, smoked for 52 years, quit cold turkey. my old man was an extremely bad alcoholic - 26'er of vodka straight a day for 25+ years. quit over night. all depends if you want to do it, or if you "kinda" want to do it..... if you want to do it, you can do it....over night, cold turkey.

what is the treatment to remove the pharmaceuticals in hamilton harbour. oh that's right, none. nothing beats launches full of tampon applicators and constant stories of estrogen filled fish from the harbour. and the water flows that cause the overflows are far from unexpected. they just look at it as a justified ends to the means. its cheaper to let the poop flow than to fix it.

i remember spending a full morning, with a freaking shovel, clearing the mess they create infront of the ferry launch. i made it just wide enough for my boat.... as I was pulling out a fellow with a 20' boat complained that I only made it wide enough for my boat.... I told him to widen it himself. next morning i went to launch, he was stuck. he tried to reverse through a locked everything up. i just jumped on the ferry and continued my way to pryners as he commented that it wasn't fair I wouldnt help him shovel himself out.... lazy bugger.

kadri's a baby. he'll get what is coming to him. he's quickly being known as a cheap shot artist in the NHL. that started with kadri giving a cheap shot from behind, then kadri sticked the guy ... i don't like the crap he does. someone's going to knock him out .... he'll deserve it ... and hopefully grows up after it.

4x4, that happens to a lot of baitcasters in the cold. okuma's, pleugers, these reels are rarely sealed. one of my good friends uses a calais 100. that'll work! likely a calcutta (te, not new model) will also work. when fishing quinte, the only reel i've found truly sealed that I could troll with was the tekota. reels just aren't designed for the cold.

but he didn't touch the guys head. 100% shoulder. didn't even brush the guys head. the ref that was closest to the hit shook his head like "no penalty" while the dumbphuk trailing called it.

we insure his labeling company. can't tell you what their revenue is, but its a lot larger than you think!

just remember many cheap baitcasters (made for summer fishing) are not sealed correctly and will freeze, expand, and break in the winter. don't cheap out "because its only for ice fishing".

i'm not going there, but i believe there were only 24 shots on reimer when he got pulled.

Folks will ask why do Lunds cost more? Other uneducated folks will say that Lund just charges more because of their "name". There is a reason that everyone compares their boat to a Lund.
