  14. Those are real nice. You can see the care in those ties!! gorgeous work Spiel.
  15. Awesome, so I was on the right track! I am thinking UltraGreen will work great for spinning and Raven on the pin. I have 90+ days I can spend in the rapids over the next 5 months so I plan on taking full advantage of them.
  16. Nice fish, thats how you do it man, just go get it done on the first try! I hope to have the same success when I get my first pin in a couple weeks.
  17. I would like to know from some experienced steelheaders/salmon fishermen what kind of line they would use in crystal clear, cold, fast moving water. Think St. Marys rapids, that's where I will be applying this. I have not been able to settle on a line to use a mainline or leader (would you use flouro with such fast moving water?). My setup is a 13 ft cold water float rod and either a spinning reel (Spirex 4000FE) and at the end of the month my Okuma centerpin. Any opinions will be greatly appreciated (I'm lookin' your way solo, MJL, Dunn and BillM). Tight lines.
  18. AdBlockPlus 1.1.3 and Firefox = No advertisements on the entire internet. I haven't seen an ad in so long. Advertisements are more annoying than black flies.
  19. Nice fish doods!
  20. Wow, nice! What a slob that laker is hehe.
  21. When using a braid I prefer PowerPro to any other I have used. Even the 20 lbs. test just never seems to break.
  22. I wouldn't move away from this river. Feeding atlantic salmon, thats enough for me.
  23. I like to think of myself as a heron wading through the shallows for unsuspecting minnows and frogs. Silence and quickness are key. The best tip i've seen is in this thread so far is to not use a flashlight that is too bright, they are sensitive to intense light.
