Dr. Salvelinus and myself headed up north to enjoy the beautiful sunny weather we had on Friday.
The river was looking really nice.
As I was setting up my float rod in typical fashion on his 2nd cast I hear "Fish on".
His namesake showed up.
Such nice colors.
We drifted roe and marabou jigs and enjoyed the sun and finally some superior steel.
I can't think of a better way to enjoy a hot spring day.
This! Next rain I will be heading up north. Gotta fix my auxilary net as well, the girlfriend is gonna put in a few hours this season instead of sitting around the fire.
I for one am glad when a boisterous claim is 'debunked' by people who know they are talking about. If he would have just posted it I am sure he would have got nothing but congrats for a beautiful steelhead. OMG its over 20LBS!!!!! More like 13.
Lately I can't get enough of this kind of classic rock. Hopefully the spring will be full of fish, sunshine and a lot of 70s rock.
