Fishinsled, you will be at the opposite end of the lake from me. 50 to 60 miles away. Did the trip in a boat last year to Lakair. Took an hour and a half in good conditions in a boat. My brother has a Garmin Rino with maps of both ends of the lake. I used it to navigate to Lakair. Worked great. Can't seem to get the west end of the map on to my Rino.

I was so busy at the shop I didn't see this post until now. I just made a quick report and posted it. Thanks guys for a great weekend! You made yourselves at home so it was easy for me. The food you brought up was terrific! I can see this will be an annual event.

I had four guys visiting me this past weekend. We have only fished together a couple of times but they are like old friends already. We shared many laughs along with frozen body parts. The fire was warm and the remainder of my wood pile shows it. Geez, the weather quite plainly sucked. and generally so did the catching of fish. I think we all caught something through the weekend. Joe's Pickerel Bill kind of fell off the end of the pontoon boat and got his feet wet. He found my slippers and put them on. Here's a pic of Gerritt with a really big one on. I will let him tell you what it was. Bill tried to hook the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Joe tried too but he was using monofilament and a beat up Quantum. May post more on this later but thats enough for now.

So I could do it like this. Hey guys I just went fishing in my brand new 2008 Brand X boat that I just bought at -------- ------- for $--------. Heres a Pic at the showroom. I towed it with my pickup that I just had repaired at ------- ----- . Hmmmm? Sorry but it isn't fair to all.

If I can help I don't mind at all. Thank you for the kind words.

Green is right turn and brake. Yellow is left turn and brake. Brown is tailights...Don't overlook the white ground wire. Some Fords have separate fuses for the trailer lights. Give me a PM if you need some more help.

I agree with Wayne.

Things people don't know about the highway traffic act
Bernie replied to fishing n autograph's topic in General Discussion
Not trying to be an here but you may want to double check the lighting. When doing safety inspections all that is required is one taillight and one license light on non-commercial. Turns and braking can be signaled by hand. Been over this with the MTO a couple times. I think that it is a poor regulation and should be updated but no one seems interested in changing things. There are many changes I would like to see but get stonewalled every time I make a call. -

One point to differ on. Brake light not required. Licence light and one tail light on passenger vehicle is all thats required. You can use your arm to indicate turns and stops. -
Well Bill.....I have this here big pot for deep frying them things. Great stuff Bill!!!! Nice bird!

Too many other projects to build something like this right now. But maybe in the future....... This summer I am overhauling an old dry boathouse into a sleep cabin....Need it to put Gerritt in. It will be far enough away Joe won't need to listen to him snore.

A buddy E-mailed this to me. I wonder if Gerritt, Joe and Bill will help me throw one together when they come up. FLOATING GAZEBO I was going to build the Gazebo on the edge of my dock down by the lake but I thought ...I might just as well build the deck with floats on it and I can then take it out fishing too. Has 15,000# capacity. The deck is 18ft x 18ft with 12 plastic foam filled dock floats that are 4ft x 4ft by 18 inch. high. and the Gazebo is 10 ft. Hexago n with a table and chairs inside. Under the table is my trolling motor so I can take it out to my favorite fishing hole. The trolling motor is remote controlled wireless so I can be fishing outside and operate the motor. On the top of the table I have a LOWRANCE Fish-Finder with depth sounding sonars and temp gauge. I have 2 electric winches with 40# anchors. I have also built in a water pump so I can clean the fish right on the spot. Now I can relax and fish while my wife can sit and relax.

Who said it first? Terry wins!!!!

Glad it finally worked out for you! Grounds are the toughest. Had one one time with a tilt tongue. Drove me crazy till i figured it lost the ground at the pivot point. :wallbash: :wallbash:

Hey Rick. Glad the ship is sailing smoother waters again. Been a tough go for you. Been there too--a long time ago. Be good to see you posting again.

That's really good of you Cliff .

No, read my reply on how it's getting ground. Its able to ground through the right side on signal but it cant when both are on . RUN THE WIRE! If I had a buck for everyone of these things I have fixed I could........
-
Ha , had to wait for the pics to download. I made it to the cottage by boat tonight. Yep, run a wire from a good ground on the trailer to the metal base around the bulb and try it.
-
Ya, sure if you can. Still almost convinced its a bad ground.
-
Terry, I assumed he already had that done if it was necessary. Seeing as he does have output at the truck technically it should work the trailer if trailer is working correct. The signal works therefore it proves the left power circuit. When applying brake it therefore cannot get ground through the opposite filament. Hence the thought on bad ground at the tailight itself.
-
Check to verify the left signal housing is grounded. I think you will find your problem there. Cant think of any other possibility. To check run a wire from the trailer ground to the ground around the bulb. That is if it is an 1157 style bulb. If it isnt try to trace the ground path and touch the wire to it at the bulb.
-
So is there a brake light signal coming out of the truck? Your problem may lie there. Still a possible fuse. What kind of vehicle?
-
Brown is tail lights. Green is right turn and stop. Yellow is left turn and stop. Some of the newer pickup trucks have separate fuses for trailer lights. Verify your vehicle trailer power output first. Then verify ground is working and is grounding to trailer. this step a lot of guys miss and it can really mess you up.
