    LOONS

Great capture, I love silhouette sunset pics.
  2. Great shots Nautifish, really like the third one with the section of red amongst the greens. Starting to get some color here, but not nearly as much as you have right now. Looking forward to the colors, makes the picture much more vibrant.

    Some HDR's

I think there is a HDR processer in Photoshop, but not sure which one. You can download a trial version of Photomatix. Familiarize yourself with it and decide if you want to purchase it. Photomatix is very easy to use and many (myself also) prefer to use it. The program does most of the work, so although it sounds complicated, it's pretty basic. I haven't done it with photoshop.

    Some HDR's

Made some more HDR's, going extreme on them. The Mine Pontiac Solstice And this pic is not HDR. Seeing lots of grouse this year already.
  5. Great shot Dan, the reflection is awesome. I've been out getting lots of water shots lately, calm still waters make for some of the best pics. Hope to see more from you soon.
  6. Wow, that looks awesome. Seems the errors were with Firefox, don't seem to have any errors with IE. Anyone else getting errors with firefox trying to view the full picture. Or could it be my Firefox is corrupted.
  7. Error here to, not sure why, maybe try making them smaller size (Large Email)
  8. I can only view the small image, getting an error for the big one, and now I really want to see it.
  9. Yeah HDR can really enhance a photo. It gives your photo a full look. Look under tutorials in this section, there is one that explains HDR.
  10. Coming along well by the looks of things, looks like a great place. Seen lots of moose signs and many grouse also over here TJ. Sure looks like there will be lots of game come fall. I've already seen about 10 grouse, 2 moose and plenty more moose crap. Now I just gotta get out and get a feeding of fresh fish, hopefully this weekend.
  11. Wow, great painting in such a short time, amazing. It looks awesome, love the mountains in the background.
  12. Definitely some awesome closeups. The best thing about closeups is you can see how beautiful the birds actually are. You don't usually get to see them that close or still with the naked eye.
  13. Cool shots Evster, maybe try HDR'ing those pics from below next time, it'll show the beams with such great detail.
  14. Great shots Brandon, wow congrats on that dream job, sounds awesome. Take care.
  15. CT new gas bar had there grand opening on wednesday here in Hanmer, they had 5 cents of every liter of gas, filled my van, my boat can and all my jerry cans. 160liters cost me $195, $1.21.9L. use to be able to do it all for around $100. Already cancelled my cross country trip to BC, decided to fly to vegas instead if I'm gonna spend that much.
  16. Great shots as always Brandon. I'm starting to get out again. Windy days = not so great for HDR.

    Beaver dam

Got out once again, took some pics , here's a few. The first is a beaver dam raising a lake a few feet. And the lake was like a sheet of glass.
  18. It's a move to bring down western civilizations economies and will not end till after our next major war. Till then hold on tight, it's gonna be a bumpy ride.
  19. Seems they were in the wrong "Unfortunately the action of the manager of this location was not appropriate, nor grounds for dismissal," said the release. "With an apology from management, Ms. Lilliman has been rehired by the franchisee." full story here http://www.torontosun.com/News/TorontoAndG...08/5506961.html
  20. Lew: Something to think about, were not talking about stealing big items. I go to Macdonald's, they offer my dog a free treat. Take the kids to stores, many offer them a sucker or candy, and Tim's used to give my 2 dogs 2 timbits (one each) before people complained, every time I went through the drive through. So it's not really a big issue, every time someone gets something free, doesn't mean their gonna be soon running away with the loot bag. Like other's have mentioned, there might be more to the story, but it's possible they just fired her over a Timbit. There are just some real jerks out there.
  21. Big deal, it's just a timbit, and even if it was a donut so what. Even if all the employees took advantage of the place it might account to $100 of goods at counter prices, which is marked up so much that it's lucky if it was 10 to 20 dollars. These companies underpay people, expect quality work and professionalism, and then can't even give out a free meal as a perk, ridiculous. I like all these places where they want a days notice if your gonna be sick or take a day off, but expect people to come in and work with an hour notice. You show up for work 15min early and help out cause it's busy, and all you get is thanks for the help, but heck if you took a timbit, you can get fired. No wonder it's getting hard to get good help, when all these people are learning companies don't really care about you. What goes around comes around, soon these places will be begging for people to work for them, it's already starting to happen.
  22. Thanks guys, using a Sony DSC-H2. Yeah the first one I call "On Watch" as there is a Osprey watching over the river.
  23. The weather has been great lately, so I got out and got some pics. Here's some of my fave's.
  24. Great shot, I have one similar, is that towards Chilliwack?
