Walmart sells a small tripod that extends to four feet tall, and closed is about 10". It's light and handy, good for hikes or those unexpected photo ops. It's usually 14.99 and 9.99 on sale, so it's cheap enough that you lose it, you won't break the bank. I lost one already. LOL You can also straighten your pics with most photo software. Low to the water pics are cool, I like to take them as well. HDR does an awesome job on rocks, it's cool to see you include them in your pics.

I'm using Microsoft picture it, Premuim 10. But most picture programs have black and white, the pics I posted is actually changed to Antique. Grey scale works as also in the colors setting move the slider till all color is removed. Also some camera's have a black and white setting, so the pic can be taken in black and white.

That would look cool if the flower itself was the only thing that had color. My son has made a few pics where just the subject is color and the rest is black and white and they look pretty cool.

You still can edit photos after copying to DVD/CD, they will just have to be saved to either your computer or another DVD/CD. They cannot be saved back to the source DVD/CD.

I took this pic last month and found this to be a good pic just black and white. The old car and setting gives it the look of the 50's yet it was taken Sept 2007.

That is an awesome pic, I've seen quite a few of wide angle shots in HDR and really like them, just might invest into a wide angle lens.

I see what PB is talking about, but it's also how the photographer adjust the final settings with HDR. In some photos, I like the painting postcard kind of look as in others the natural look is much better. I like making structures like wood, cement and rocks using a more enhanced look, I think they look neat that way, but that's just my choice. I was at a trading post today and they had a bunch of framed pics that were just black and white, and as I'm not usually particular to black and white, these photos were awesome. I'm still trying to really get a grip of this HDR stuff, so that the final finished pic will be exactly the best that it could be, but with all the settings, it can get to where your just not sure anymore if its good or bad. I've had a few that looked OK at the time, but then another day I see it and think it's not so good, so I try to fix it all over. So feedback both positive and negative is good, so I can improve my pictures. Some pictures I still find better left untouched and those ones stay that way.

Put them on DVD"S, they can hold 4.7 gigs as oppose to a CD's 700megs

Yup some more great shots, love the natural Christmas tree. I get this feeling we're very much alike when were wandering around taking pictures, always looking for that little something that will make the picture unique.

I always seem to not have the one tool that I need at the time. LOL spare paddle, I know it's the law, but always make sure you have your spare paddle. Sometimes you (or your kids) take it out to use in a canoe or another boat, and you only realize it once it's needed. Also a good idea to get the boat to shore to start working on the motor, you drop a tool, part or bolt in deep water and your not gonna be able to retrieve it.

Unforgettable Steelhead Outing - Thanks Solopaddler!

Wow, awesome report, soon the doctors will have to surgically remove the rod from your hands, as your having too much fun. LOL -
It all started when one called the other "CHICKEN" LOL Great shots, I'd would of loved to witness that.

Here's mine, serving me well since 97. Big enough for bigger waters on nice days and small enough for those low water boat launches.

Have 160 gig hard drive and it was getting full, so I took a spare 60 gig I had from another comp and added it. Now that 60 gigs is full but I got 60 gig free on my 160. Should be good for a while. I also burn all my pics onto DVD's in case my comp or hard drives ever crash.

Love the colors from a sunset sky, it's like a giant rainbow. Great pics.

Oh how I dread the snow, but it does make for nice pictures. Really like the last 2. Keep em coming.

Here's a pic I got the other day. Hope you enjoy.

Best thing is not to get any closeups of trees on windy days. I take advantage of non-windy days. For windy days, shoot farther landscapes, keep trees or anything thats moving slight in the background. I might get a bridge in foreground with the trees in the background. They don't show up as much cause they will be blurred a bit anyways. As for your second picture, sometimes I'll eliminate one pic of the three or five, if it's the only one with the glare. I've used 2 pics a few times, they turn out pretty good. Another thing i've found is sometimes the HDR pic turns out a little blurry, i'll go back and generate it but this time uncheck the align pictures, because I know the pics are already aligned and then they won't be realigned. I like the 3rd one, I also like getting pics from water level. Keep em coming. Hopefully they'll be more replies as mine are my findings, like to see what others think.

Throw a sheet of 3/4 in marine plywood over the bench seats, make a hole for storage between the 2. Mount those front seats back where they are and mount 2 pedestal seats behind. Gives you a little fishing platform and storage or livewell, and still have minimum weight added to boat. Oh yeah, cover with carpet or vinyl. My 2.5 cents.

Perfect for them, they found way to legitimize a way to make more money, by charging more. And if the water levels were to go higher than normal, I very much doubt that prices would be going down because they would be able to haul more. More scare tactics to justify price increases. Where does it end.

2 life lessons for the price of one. LOL good one

Looking good, maybe a little less color saturation like Dan said though. Those pics are so colorful in the first place, that sometimes less is better. Love the way HDR brings out structures, really shows the detail.

Priceless. You don't get that experience in store bought fish.
