  1. If I was in need of a GPS, I would check online, you can get a much better price and with the dollar exchange, you can save lots. I just googled Garmin gpsmap 60csx and Amazon.com is selling them for $299. That's a great deal.
  2. As for DUI, who here really believes that drinking and driving is lower today then it ever was. Thinking the DUI is down is like believing the speeding is down First the population is a lot more and people are more stressed, leading to more people using drugs or alcohol. Here's a little test, go out on a Friday or Saturday night and see the vehicles in the parking lot of your local bars. Most lots are full. Now go back and see the cars there the next morning at around 6 or 7AM. You may see 2 to 5 cars there, are we to believe that the other 50 to 100 cars all were sober drivers. I would have to say no, hell, most people get drunk at home before going out to a bar just to save some money.
  3. That's what i'm saying, give people the power (right) to protect themselves, which is instilled in us, and just the human attitude will change, resulting in happier people, happier people will result in respect for others. The only part I don't agree with that story Roy, is making it a law. We're all big boys, we can make our own choices.
  4. Provide and Protect. Humans purpose as all living things is to provide and protect, your need to fish is instilled in you, as the need to protect to ensure your genes survive generations. So even if the constitution does not say it, human nature instills it. Taking away either one of our purposes leaves man confused and without purpose, which will either make man either coward or fight. To deal with cowarding man will resort to drugs or alcohol to ease the pain, to fight back man will rebel. So taking our rights to provide or protect will result in more bigger problems. As which history shows.
  5. It's a never ending cycle, make laws to protect the people, which takes away humans freedoms, which causes humans to be more stressed, which cause humans to drink more, which causes humans to make more impaired judgments.
  6. "I suggest you keep the unit tucked against your sweater inside your coat when not actually reading your gps. Just like a digital camera ya gotta baby 'em a bit." My GPS is on the handlebar mount on my ATV when I go ATV'ing in the winter for 3 to 10 hours and yet to have any problem.
  7. Beer bottles are the worst, usually broken and then you have to watch your kids or pets and it ain't so easy to clean up. What possesses a man to toss there Tim cups out the window along dirt roads is beyond me, yet there aren't to many dirt roads that aren't littered with them. Just throw your Tim's trash back at Tim's the next time your there, they have garbage cans at there drive throughs. I feel better now also. LOL
  8. If your looking in Sudbury, right on Ramsey Lake in the heart of the city. Usually not to busy.
  9. Garmin 60CSX, 76CSX floats but I like the 60CSX as it's smaller to hold and the buttons are on the bottom of the screen. It's a little expensive, but it's the only GPS you'll need. Good for driving, hiking, boating, ATV'ing, any outdoor activities. Buying anything else will just lead to wishing you had bought that one instead. Great reception, even indoors, expandable memory, color screen, turn by turn navigation, waterproof, and a built in compass which is great for when your not moving. My 2 cents.
  10. Have you considered just purchasing a trailer camp at a trailer park. It won't make you any money, but you shouldn't lose any either. I had a trailer camp for about 6 years. Loved it while it lasted but have no regrets about selling it either. Now I have the freedom to go where ever I want. You can buy a trailer all set up with all the fixins for some really great deals. Sad but true is the fact many older folks buy trailers to enjoy when they retire, but then fall ill or pass away, leaving the survivor to just wanting to get rid of it. You can find some great deals for under $10000. Keep it for 5 years or more and still get the same price you payed for it. The only real expense you'll have is the rental fee for the trailer park which you won't get back but you don't get back your taxes or utilities on a purchased cottage. Might not be for everyone, but I found it worked for me.
  11. Yeah, the black and white make it look from the 1800's. Awesome shots
  12. Great shots, the panoramic really puts the clouds down low across the sky.
  13. Cool shot, like the contrast between the land and sky. I do see your shadow in the pic though.

    Ribbitt...

Great macro Dan, the detail is awesome. Never see such detail with our own eyes.
  21. HDR works so nice on old structures, are you using a wide angle lens on some of those pics? The only thing that would really add to those pics would be some dramatic clouds. I've been holding off on some of the structures I want to capture because I would like to have the clouds just to fill in the space. Great angles and perspective on those shots, the third one is awesome, you used the tree to make up for the lack of a great sky.
  22. Great building for HDR, take care FO3, hope your daughter's feeling better.
  23. Here's another pic from our first snowfall, been a little busy lately.
