  8. The last time that this topic was brought up, someone had a great way to keep these in the boat and not on the lake bottom. I did a search but was unable to find it.
  9. If you are going through the trouble of rewiring your trailer with the LED lights throw away the wire that is included in the kit and buy some good quality wire for the job . Usually its wire quality that causes issues with trailer wiring. As far as led lights go, they are great.
  10. Lets not forget that the French River is exactly that (a river)and not a lake and is unpredictable and more sensitive to water levels, and temperature and climate changes. The dams also have a big effect on the water levels. The water is always on the move and so are the fish .
  11. I recently replaced my boat seats with the Tempress All Weather Seats. Tempress advertises all stainless pivot pins. Guess what these pins are rusting and so are the washers and this hardware which is supposed to to be stainless steel is beginning to stain the vinyl cushions . I had purchased the Tempress seats many years ago for my previous boat and had no issues with them but back then they were made in the good old USA and these to my surprise are now made in China .Same price , inferior quality. I have E- mailed Tempress twice, once to the Tech dept and once to the Sales dept. Three weeks have gone by and still waiting to hear their response. Buyer Beware

  22. Sorry gents but i can no longer stay out of this debate. I have been working in the aviation industry with a major canadian airline for 30 years in the structures end of it and I have to agree with Wayne. If welding aluminium was better and more structurally sound the aviation industry certainly would have gone that direction. There is no way that an aircraft can hurl through the air at 500 miles plus an hour with a welded hull and structure.Welded aluminium boat hulls are no where near as strong as riveted . And by the way I am one of those trained Monkeys that can rivet and wouldn`t have it any other way.
  23. You got it beat. Its been 17 years for me and I haven`t looked back.
  24. Try the Crooked Rapids. Its a bit of a boat ride but it may pay off. Also you may want to try in front of Shells Camp in the fast water.
