I can't imagine how poor the viewership is going to be if it's a Preds - Sens final. Seriously, who is really going to care at that point? Ottawa doesn't care NOW going by the number of empty seats and the Preds, well, they're a US team that's not an original 6. YAWN!!!!! I'll bet the NHL management team is praying the Pens win so Ottawa doesn't sink the revenues.

I believe it's because people throw their life jackets into lockets and forget about them. The Co2 PFD's can inflate while in there or the cartridge can deteriorate and expire without the owner knowing. So in essence, if you're not actually wearing it, you wouldn't know if you even have a viable PDF until you really need it. On another note, don't assume these auto-inflates will inflate. There are numerous instances where guys have gone over or thrown from their boat and the jackets did NOT inflate. Also, I know most people don't run +60mph boats but it's become more common for tournament anglers to wear a regular PFD because there is no fear of failure and it offers chest padding as protection. When I'm alone on Erie, I wear my old PFD when running across the middle and then put my auto inflate on for fishing.

I saw this last night when my friend shared the video on FB. I think I was have called a lawyer as opposed to the commentary in the video but I can certainly see why he was upset. I'm wondering how the exchange went when he picked up the boat? Would you not normally inspect it and then pay the balance? Maybe I missed that part...but yes, I'd loose my mind. This Trimmed Out Boats business advertises on Kijiji all the time.

They check as many as they can...there is no regulation or criteria that stipulates who should and shouldn't stop. Just like they can pick and choose who they stop of the ones that keep going. I imagine for those that stop, they get checked pretty quickly and get on their way. After all, it's an odds game and why would poachers stop?? Those that blow by might get checked more thoroughly and then there's those like yourself that don't get stopped at all. Just like the fish, they can't catch everyone. I guess the poachers have to be smarter and take an extra vehicle without a boat on the back???

That's a great report and glad you had a good time. Sounds like they do it right there and the food looks awesome.

Everyone complains the MNR doesn't do enough, isn't in the right places, doesn't catch the offenders...and we have people like you out there trying to make their job harder...and for no good reason. Congrats and don't ever complain about the work the MNR does again.

About 5 years ago I caught a 4lb walleye on a spinnerbait in 6' of water on the inside of that breakwall... I think it was lost!

It might be true they're not on beds BUT...remember the water level is way up and those beds last year in 4-6' of water are now not visible and are in 7-8' of water in some cases. Just saying...it's the end of May...

There's really nothing bizarre about catching largies on a spoon. They were the go-to bait in the early years before crankbaits, flipping jigs and plastics. I don't know just how small they were, but they were most likely just aggressive males.
