I know those chairs. You guys were setting up as I was launching. Glad to see you had a great day playing with the kittys.

Can you please explain this in more detail, I don't follow exactly what you mean. I have this problem and the spray can be a pain in the butt because it gets in the boat and if a wind is blowing from the rear it really gets inside. BTW, my F.F was installed by the dealer as a package when the boat was new. Thanks.

There's nothin' you can do girl, There's nothin' you can say. You're talkin' to the sky girl, I just got to get away. Got to hear the wind song Singin' in my ear. Got to get it on girl And I'll never make it here. 'Cos the wind was my mother, The highway is my brother. I was born to wander, And it's time for movin' on. I was born to wander, Turn around and I'll be gone, gone, gone. I'm just followin' my heart girl, And it's followin' the sun. Lookin' for an answer I know may never come, But I gotta chase my dreams girl, Like a river to the sea, Got to find a rainbow, That's waitin' there for me. 'Cos the wind was my mother, The highway is my brother. I was born to wander, And it's time for movin' on. I was born to wander, Turn around and I'll be gone, gone, gone.

Ask yourself this: What will be going through your mind if the future, who knows how many years from, if you find yourself laying in a hospital bed and looking at a grim diagnosis. Bet you that trip to New Zealand would sound pretty good. I know far too many people that put off their dreams so they could follow that "family lifestyle" that's not for everybody. If you have some free spirit in you then go for it! Don't look back you are still young enough to rebound when you decide to end your walkabout. Who says that we all have to conform to the wife, 2 kids and a mortgage lifestyle? My brother died, 2 months after reaching 65, my sister in law is facing an uncertain future in her late 50's, my brother-in-law same thing but he is finally retiring with a ton of money but has had no life and is too cheap to enjoy the $'s. My best friend is sitting in the hospital right now with non hogkins lymphoma and no use of his feet due to spinal nerve damage from the tumors. He is trying his best to keep his spirits up and has been staring at the grim reaper in the eye for a couple of weeks, BTW he is about 55 and retired for less than 2 years after a lifetime in the steel mills. For his sake and family I wish him all the good wishes I can. I could name many more people. So don't wait for the future to live your dreams!

Warm, no bugs and beautiful eyes! What a combination

There must be some of weightlifters on the board, don't think I'd be classifying a 40 as portable. My 25 weighs more than 118 pounds, I wouldn't want to be hauling that off and back on every time I went fishing. I had a Mercury 6hp and it weighed in at more than 70 lbs itself, portable yes, but some evenings it remained locked on the transom. If you are buying a smaller outboard, 9.9 or lower than haul it off and on, but at least put a padlock on it when mounted...and a chain and lock and another lock and another lock and a bulldog to watch it.....

I don't know where to try but stay off of that "Private Property." -
Have a great day Jen! Hope F.M. is good to ya

To me it sounds like you already made an agreement with him regarding this situation. He pays material and pays your labour. However, I would have a kitchen table discussion about it now that all is done and find out his true feelings about it. If he is willing to pay the full labour cost then bill him half and this way everyone is happy. You cover your expenses and hopefully make a little and he gets a new building for a good price. Remember there are no guarantees that he will ever do business with you again regardless of the decision or outcome. Been there, done that, best of luck.

Great job

Go for it!

Nice! I would have loved to have been the window rep on that project.

I have a 16' tinny rated for 30hp. I have a 25, 2 stroke on it and it is pretty much a perfect match. So a 25 would suit it well. Look at the weight factor between the two motors, if the 30 is much heavier than a 25 then that will probably be a better choice. If this doesn't make any sense then let your budget dictate.

Pulled into the local Canadian Tire this afternoon, as I was parking I saw a pickup pulling a small housetrailer and parking at the curb. The trailer was a 1970's vintage small house trailer, a Trillium, a compact trailer made in the '70's. The weird part was that it looked brand new! It was all shiny with brand new looking tongue, propane tank and battery box, the tires were perfect and there was no crud in the wheel wells. I had to peek in the windows, they looked all new and sparkly too. Inside the fibreglass walls were all glossy and the upholstery was brand new! Then a guy walks out of the store's service door entrance with the service writer from the counter. I asked if it was new? Said, "Yep, they're making them again." Told him I thought I had just entered into a time tunnel or a different realm. It was exactly that, a replica of the Trillium trailer. It didn't have the old style jalousie windows but more updated sliders, the whole trailer was impressive! If you remember these little trailers from 30 or so years ago have a look here. They were similar to the Boler trailer from the same time period. If you find one of these trailers for sale today you will pay as much or more for one that is in good condition as they sold for new when new. Trillium website Moreinfo

Nice! But I don't know which I like better, your new boat or that nice 3 car garage.

I don't see this the problem. It is upper management taking high salaries, big bonuses and plain simple greed, not the average joe or bottom management members that are busting their asses making low N. American standard wages that are the problem. Todays workers are stressed out and pushed harder and further everyday. Look at some of the incomes of these big shots! There are some countries with smaller national budgets than those people earn. Have you read the list of Canadian public employees with salaries of over 1000 grand a year. It is amazing! Surprisingly I don't hear too many around here or anywhere else discussing that but at least it did make the news. We should be standing up and patting the average guy or girl on the back instead of criticizing them and blaming their rotten $9/hr income! Oh right, one day that will be 10 bucks, WOW! Guess that is going to go along way at the Kia dealer.

So if bring lots of bananas along my boat will go faster! Yippee!
-
do some anglers consider bananas bad luck? ...so that explains a lot of things. Guess I had better leave the bananas at home next time.

Big Cliff, OHIP doesn't cover hearing tests? Last time I had one, at least 15 years ago it did. The times they are a changin'

My Grandfather used to say they had a stone for a brain. Of course no, but that was what he claimed after cutting ones head open. This is from a guy that ate fried goats brains He was a character.

Tangled: CC is not shouting at anyone, typing in CAPS is his thing, his trademark sort of. It's not a worry. To be honest typing in caps makes life a lot easier than constantly hitting the shift key for some, me included but I have adapted. Sorry Bly, guess we were both responding at the same time

Cheers CC. Looking forward to your next report.
