  1. Those bite marks on the side of that pike Terry?
  2. Sounds like an awesome trip Marty. He sure is growing! Had my grandson up there last summer, it too was a priceless trip.
  3. All really good advice there Lew, some of these were new to me when we chatted about this subject at Lakair...........thanks.
  4. The fish are still there. Yes the water is down 2 1/2 to 3' but I don't think it has really effected the fishing at all. Spent a fair amount of time on the West Arm in June and July. I am a white spinnerbait fan for both pike and bass. As kickingfrog said, don't worry overly about the rocks that you CAN see. It's really no different than any other year. Use common sense. The channels are still OK. Go slow when you are out of the channels and don't believe everything your GPS tells you.......there are some red and green buoys reversed in West Bay. Where are you staying? Welcome aboard by the way!
  5. They are really cute Teressa. I love the photo of Angel, we have a 3 year old called Chloe, ask your Dad about her..........
  6. This is my buddy Benson. Unfortunately we lost him about 7 months ago at 13. Sorry about your loss. That must be so hard to deal with. Gus is my first dog and I already think about how hard it will be when he passes on. It's always tough to let them go but the way that I look at it is the years we have together with them more than makes up for the heartache.......
  7. Good morning all. Have a great day everyone..
  8. This is my buddy Benson. Unfortunately we lost him about 7 months ago at 13. Ben at 12 still doing what he loved best. This is Ben at 12 with his buddy Chloe 3, she is 1/2 Bichon and half poodle. Tougher than she looks.
  9. Very cute pup Jer...she is going to be a big girl.
  10. Those gunnels are pretty wide, you must be able to get underneath them somewhere. Looks like an ideal spot to mount some tracks with reinforcement plates.
  11. Thanks for making my morning Mike.......after cleaning my keyboard of coffee I can relate to your post. Barbara and I are dealing with her Dad who in his 80's is reverting back to his teens. God love him, but sometimes we need to take a walk to avoid killing him. We need to remember that they brought us into this world and mostly were responsible for our growth as humans.....I find that Scotch helps...a lot... J...
  12. Generally, IMHO and with all due respect, you should try wherever possible to work with an offer, unless it is completely out to lunch, even then there may be hope. Rejecting it outright may not be the best option available to you. The market will determine the correct price for your home, of course you reserve the right to agree or disagree with the market.
  13. When you get tired of paddling, think ice fishing.............
  14. It was good to see you guys up there Fred, sorry you had some issues, but glad you had a nice time and managed to find some fish. As Lew probably told you in the boat we didn't fish all that much but enjoyed the good company and great conversation. Sorry that we won't be able to join Lew and Di and Pete and Sue at Memquisit next month, but I know that they will have a great time. John..
  15. Damn you Mod's drive slow. I can do it in 4 1/2 from Burlington with a boat on the back.......
  16. When John and Mary first got married John said, "I am a sex addict and I'm putting a box under the bed to help control my addiction. You must promise to never, ever look in it." In all their 30 years of marriage Mary never looked. However, on the afternoon of their 30th anniversary, curiosity got the best of her and she lifted the lid and peeked inside. In the box were 3 empty beer cans and $81,874.25 in cash. She closed the box and put it back under the bed. Now that she knew what was in the box, she was doubly curious as to why there even was such a box with such contents. That evening they were out for a special Anniversary dinner. After dinner Mary could no longer contain her curiosity and she confessed, saying, "I am so sorry. For all these years I kept my promise and never looked into the box under our bed. However, today the temptation was too much and I gave in. But now I need to know why do you keep the 3 beer cans in the box?" John thought for a while and said, "I guess after all these years you deserve to know the truth. Whenever I was unfaithful to you I put an empty beer can in the box under the bed to remind myself not to do it again." Mary was shocked, but said, "Hmmm, Jennifer, Paula and Monica. I am very disappointed and saddened by your behavior. However since you are addicted to sex, I guess it does happen and I guess 3 times is not that bad considering your problem." John thanked her for being so understanding. They hugged and made their peace. A little while later Mary asked John, so why do you have all that money in the box? John answered; "Well, whenever the box filled up with empty cans, I took them to the Beer Store and cashed them in."
  17. Hey Pete, looks like you had a great day! Congrat's on the 6 for 6. That is an amazing day for any Muskie guy or gal! We have gone experienced what your family is going through 3 times, both my Mom and Dad and my Mom in law...I know very well where you mind is at. She sounds like an amazing woman. All the best to you and your family. J..

  20. Congratulations Brian! Grandchildren are indeed a blessing. 5 for us!
  21. A very Happy Birthday bud, Barbara sends her love........
  22. For me it is more a case of re-learning and putting back into use techniques that we used many years ago that were successful then and are now coming back into focus.
  23. I bought 10# sharks, unpainted, unchromed for around $20 a piece on line last year.
  24. What storm? There was a storm?
  25. Definitely check the batteries. They could be dry, or simply pooched.
