  1. Met the man in Carleton Place 30 years ago. The Mississippi Hotel. Got tanked with him after his set. What a Character. Excellent chipper. Think about putting a lanyard on it in case it slips out of your hands when it breaks through the botton of the hole.
  2. i guess it comes down to confidence. When i was a young lad, fishing with Dad, we caught all our fish on metal lipped lures. I dont remember him haveing any plastic lipped, until Rapala came out with their original floating lures. He had alot of lures that had the diving surface carved out of the face of the lure also,no lip at all.
  3. I was gonna say sumfin, but i don't even understand was i was thinking about thinking before i thought about it, so i won't.
  4. Awesome report !!!!! Those walleyes are beutifully colored. Havent seen them with the stripes on thier backs like that. Looks like an all round great fishing experience. Thanks for sharing. Paul

  6. Dang, my ranger only has a 6ft box.Still trying to figure out how to transport 7 footers No problem when i am towing the boat. Only when i am fishing with some else, without my boat. I see 2 piece rods in my future.

  8. if "THEY" say it can, you can be sure it can, and alot more we may never find out about through official channels. Try googling "Chentrails", if you want to get the poop scared out of yourself.

  13. My granny used to tell me she was her sister, cause we have the same last name.I was 20 before i realized granny lied The las surviving golden girl is a real hoot !!! Happy Birthday Betty
  14. My boat is 16Ft so i seldom fish with more than 2 other people. Most often just 1. I bought a second set of rod holders, attached to the front of the console, When in the boat, and when i am changing places, i use them, to keep my rods standing straight up. For me, its key to keep stuff stowed, and keep the deck clear at all times, that way no one is tripping or putting thier feet where they dont belong.
  15. My biggest problem, is misjudgeing the distance between my rod tip and obstacles in the boat.I am always wacking something with the tip.
  16. Mike I bought a Brand new Starfish DLX SC last April. A smaller boat, but still a Princecraft. The textured vinyl floors are quick to clean up, but do get very hot under the summer sunshine. No bare feet in the boat I had my dealer instal a color matching Bimini roof to held keep me cool. I love the stability of the reversed chine and modifed V hull, it sits relatively high in the water, and it is very responsive in turns. I have the 40HP 4 stroke, and i ran all summer, over 275hours fishing, on less than 50 dollars gas. The boat is finished very well for the price point, and i really love mine.
  17. Rod Glove. Not the cheap nylon that BPS sells. The mesh type is by far the easiest to put on and take off. They come in differnt colors so you can identify your rods easier. I keep mine in racks i bought for the boat, on the opposite side i use to get into and out of the boat. Still haven't found a way to transport a 7ft rod in a truck with a 6ft box though when i am fishing without my boat.
  18. My dear friend I am so saddened to hear this news.I know how hard she fought, and how much you supported her fight, and how strong you were for her. Like all the loved ones who go before us, she will be waiting for you with all the love you both shared in this life. My deepest sympathies Kelvin, and my greatest respect for you my friend. Paul
