  1. well you better listen to the doctors or we wont get fishing together some day
  2. Exactly Thats pretty much how i fish. Drift, position, drift.I may use it to follow a weedline, but i dont use it to troll for hours at a time.
  3. Hi Simon I dont feel hand controlled are really easier than foot pedal. They are ideal for boats with smaller casting decks like mine.If i had foot pedals and cables hanging, i am clumsy enough to trip and fall overboard. Its also less for my brain to think about. No thinking foot left, foot right, toe forward, heel backward.Just twist and steer
  4. Yup, all that too.I originally started looking into hand controlled, after watching a fishing show on WFN.
  5. Nice snack ya got there McCaster !!!!Good clean and tastey!!! Paul
  6. Nice going Blair !!! Thats one poor devil of a fish though No radioactive waste nearby??
  7. I researched carefully before buying my hand controled Minnkota Edge last spring. I have a 16ft Starfish DLX SC, and i didnt want anything cluttering up my casting deck. With a handle extension on it, it is easy to control and i can make directional adjsutments with my leg.
  8. I picked up a Vendetta last summer, only cause it was on special at a ridiculous price. Bought 2 actually. They feel good, but like some one mentioned, they are a little short on sensitivity. the MH Fast feels more like a heavy to em. But it does the job when you get a strike. My Compre(Old Model) is definately my favorite of the 2. Paul
  9. Maybe these will keep you busy for a while Chris http://www.worldfishingnetwork.com/fishing-games.aspx

  11. its terrible. 52 year old friend of mine.Had his first heart attack at 27.Was diagnosed with a heart problem, arythmia i think. Was sposed to go in in April for his annual heart work up. Postponed 6 times. Finally got the appointment done on Dec 15 2011. Died last friday without even getting the results back from his heart "Specialist". Terrible waste of a young life. Makes me want to cry in frustration for his wife and kids.
  12. Awesome season Chris !!! Like you, 2011 was my best season so far. Gotta love all the support and encouragement we may find here.

  14. What ever the make you go with, February and March are great times to get deals on last years models.I saved 6K on a 2010 Princecraft Starfish DLX SC purchased new last february. Good luck, and post pics when you buy it!!! Paul

  16. in a year, drop me a line and i will send ya a real one to keep as a spare.
  17. Wayne !!!!! You know im in parts Thats ok, those Lazer brand elements will burn out in less that a year.
  18. Profit margins for most things is astronomical. Example, in my bussiness, i buy most of my bake elements for 7.75, sell them wholesale for 12.95 and retail them for 30 bucks. No matter how you look at it, there is a ton of money to be saved. Cliff, i will sell to the co-op cost plus 25 percent, with 60 day terms.
  19. This could really work Cliff.A small central group of members would be charged with purchasing, maintaining inventory, and keeping the books up to date. Members would have a yearly fee, and a membership card/ID. You could have different levels of membership, offering higher discounts to those who prefer VIP or Gold Status menbership. Those already owning bussinesses could have corporate membership. Basically, like Costco.
  20. Well said Cliff. Compassion is a strength and a virtue, not a weekness.
  21. I'm living proof. Thanks for this response Bud.Your a good man
  22. Art is absolutely correct.Same thing goes for extended warranty on appliances and electronics. Its a huge money maker for the stores/dealers, and the insurance companies.
