  1. You owe me a new keyboard !!! I know i should never read your posts before swallowing
  2. Many a member has spoken highy to me about both of you guys, and its nice to see the truth in that. This is just another chapter in the book of OFC. I am proud to be a member here,in this community of generous men and women. Bruce.... Chris
  3. And make sure he knows in advance. No money, no fishy. That way, no hard feelings. I told you to sleep on it Works eh? Yer a good man Mike.
  4. Mike, i think i know who you are talking about. I would be tempted to do the same thing. My first reaction would be to say "Screw him !!! The rods mine". After sleeping on it, i would be the better man, and give him his combo back. Seeing he is a local, he may have some nasty friends who could start a war, and make things tough on you. Look what he is gonna miss out on in the future. The adventure of fishing with you. Let him know that his fishing days with you are over. He has no boat, and by the looks of it, no one else to take him fishing. Once he sobers up, he may realize just what he has lost, and call you up to pay up. Follow your heart bud
  5. Roger, Bob. (or is that Bob,Roger )Keep us posted. Mission control on standby for confirmation of bogey.
  6. Quite a mess, but it looks like at least they are getting it in the right vicinity. The collection company should maybe pick it up a little more often Great fish btw
  7. Baitcaster or spinning reel. Its your time to shine Ron. Newbies are shy sometimes. I remember when i was only 3 months on here, and people were talking about worm blowers. I had no idea what the heck that was, and i thought they were joking around.I jumped in with a comment, and immediately wish i hadnt.Got spanked pretty bad by a few I had to google it to find out what it was. So, maybe a simplistic "how to" post is a good thing.A place where newbies can feel free to ask silly questions, without sounding silly.
  8. Depends what you are fishing for. i carry 3/0 and 2/0 in my box.
  9. Kenmore Elite series are the same as Frigidaire Elite i believe. The main problem with these appliances, is the lack of electrical protection in them.Years ago, there was always 7 or 8 fuses above the control panel. No more. Just a hint to those with electronic controls/digital clocks, if your oven lite burns out, make sure the switch is in the off position, or better yet, open the breaker in your breaker panel. If not, as you screw the new lite back into the socket, as soon as the center contact touches the middle of the socket, you will blow your clock Really smart of them to do this
  10. Just love these familly fishing stories Nice going guys!!!!
  11. ya, and when you need to borrow, they say Do you have any money? No, thats why i need to borrow some Well sir, if you dont have any money, we cant give you any.

  18. My pleasure Cliff. Short story. I had an old lady come into my store this morning.Need a bake element for an old Moffat range. I mean OLD !!!!! circa 1959. I called a buddy here who owns a used appliance shop around the corner. He had a used one one !!! Sent my guy out the back door, picked it up at the store while i listened to her stories about baking pies etc. Gave it to her no charge, and she just dropped off an aple pie for me!!!
  19. I didnt realize he was your son.I guess i didnt pay attention to the other posts. A strapping youg fellow!!Really knows his stuff too. Theres a young guy, Max Chabot, who works at Sail here. You can see the love of the sport in his eyes when you talk to him.You usually see him in here when Berkley B1 is looking for scruteneers. Nice young lad
  20. Here is my experience with my local Sail. They may not have the selection i am looking for all the time, but the guys in the fishing department, have been there since they opened 3 years ago.I see alot of new faces there around Christmas, but they are all temps. They have a Bass guy, a Walleye guy,a fly guy, and a Musky guy, and i have spoken and gotten to know all of them. They agree with me on the selection, but when no one is looking, they will tell me where to find what i need. I have suggested items, and in a month or 2, they are on the shelves. I will go there sometimes just to talk with one of them, and i love their un announced specials, like Abu Vendettas for 55 bucks, and my Okuma Convector cv30 linecounter for 74.95. Not the best tackle store in the world, but not the worst either. Just my opinion Chris. Paul
  21. Great report !!! Nice walleye too.Looks like everyone except the dude who went through the ice had a great time!!! Thanks for sharing. Paul
