  1. I'm sure the +30C temps and standing eating mangoes waist deep in the clear, warm sea will work wonders for my rehab….cant wait!!!
  2. Thanks man…not able to put a beating on them like your crappie….but was good fun even though it was ridiculously chilly. Getting old i think. Yup it was chilly, did not seem that cold out until about 2pm, even before the sun had dropped too far it was brass monkeys out there. LOL…thats a good excuse…i'll use that. Thanks Pidge…needs to warm up a bit. Actually my jigging arm is fine…..jig with my right arm….its my left elbow. Works good to just reel with my arm extended pointing at the hole
  3. Well done Team 5….very impressive catches indeed…….52" MUSKY?!??!!!!
  4. Hi all, Finally got out on the ice, it was around -28C, lucky there was no wind. Arrived at around 2:30pm Put only one on the ice and missed a whole bunch Froze our behinds off till the bitter end, would do it again in a heartbeat! The slush out there was horrendous….REALLY BAD….my buddy got stuck before we had wet a line. Missed a couple of big ones….and littler ones…..line freeze/stuck bail arms/bad luck etc…etc.. Got stopped by a CO on the way out, good guy named Colin, he had a hard time believing we only had 1 fish to take home, but he knows us pretty well and took our word for it without searching (probably to cold to be bothered more like…lol). Never been that much of a fan of walleye fishing in the winter, but was awesome to get out after almost 4 weeks of elbow rehab!!!! Tight lines all.
  5. Exactly what lego does, which is what I went into T'r'U for.
  6. Hi all, Cant wait till i have a bit of strength in my elbow again….my buddy scooted across the lake to visit and all i could do was watch with my GoPro Cool to watch though :santa:
  7. i have an older otter…still going strong…awesome gear.
  8. i am just amazed how close people drive behind one another at speed in this country…..even worse than France!!! I always remember this from my driving test…….315 feet is safe stopping distance at 112kmh…..probably need to add at least 50% to that in the snow/wet.
  9. From what i can tell it they are pretty similar units spec wise. The difference for me would come down to what map chips were available for the 2 units. Another more recent development that has me looking at HB more than Lowrance( I love my Lowrances) is that HB and Minn Kota are in cahoots and their systems compatible( see new i-Pilot)
  10. bit nippy out this morning -32C, with wind chill -46C. Makin' ice now……lol.

  11. It just feels like all those bras were burnt for WHAT! We actually have a good independent toy store in town which has good customer service but limited choice that we use frequently, however we went into that toys are whatever shop for some lego as we were in town. Lego is awesome! And Jack loves it! Its just disappointing to see such an awesome product that i grew up with hijacked to the point of disgusting by Disney Pixar! Problem is we watch a lot of Disney Pixar movies which Jack also loves(i love a couple of them too) It just feels so cynical to see companies sell their soul soooo completely to maximize PROFIT. But like others have said….they sell what people buy…..so what is the answer???? BALANCE. Thats part the reason we moved away from the city to live here. Yeah i have as many gadgets as the next person, but we don't have cell phones….no need to constantly tell everyone you are on the bus, in the shop, etc…etc….thats what Facebook is for…..lol. Am not too worried about it, as parents we are in control of what Jack has access to. Two of his favourite possessions are a pink pony doll he found washed up on shore and a musical jewellery box….he is a child and loves these things……watching a child love something is awesome….what kind of parent would I be if i turned around and confiscated those things because of some warped, homophobic idiotic notion of gender roles? Well i'd be a warped, homophobic idiotic parent…lol…….NO THANKS! I hated my parents for not letting me have the latest 'Hot Wheels'/Evil Knievel/Atari….but love them for it now as it made you use your imagination and decide for yourself what the world was like…rather than be told by Disney or Mattel! Pink tool sets for gawd's sake! LOVED MY CHEMISTRY SET TOO….iron filings and sulphuric acid…..STINK BOMBS! can you imagine anyone being aloud to sell a toy with sulphuric acid in a vial inside these days???!!!?? Wow.
  12. thanks Brian….but ya aint breaking it to me, know wot i mean.
  13. Some of us have been awake a long…long…time Rich….and i'm glad i took the Red pill.
  14. Lol Chad, I would have done but ended up at the new Cabela's in Winnipeg by myself, Jack was napping back at the hotel after some pretty yucky dental work.
  15. Just went into a Toys'r'Us for the first time. What a darn souless dump. Even Jack wanted to leave after 5 minutes. What ever happened to toys being fun and capable of switching on the wonderous thing that is a child's imagination!? Even the lego is prescriptive, all ready made kits of crap from TV. The whole place is a segregated, blue and pink, Disney sponsored, gender stereotype reenforcement, devoid of anything remotely fun. RANT OVER.
  16. You are talking about a dog right Geoff? Thanks Art, Thanks Brian Thanks mate.......we will have to get some footage together and put together an epic report Thanks Dan......thanks Joey.......its fun experimenting with video software.
  17. So.....i told you about a month ago to get an elite4......what...you don't trust my advice?
  18. A little surprised you would say that Rick…but hey…everyone is entitled to their opinion. So what if he was a communist…..heck…i think there is a lot to say in favour of some Marxist ideas given the global economic situation….certainly still relevant…thats for sure! As for terrorism….the Apartheid regime was also a terrorist organization….google the Sharpsville Massacre!
  19. welcome! great to have you on board.
  20. Tough run there Cliff. Sorry to hear. LOL@what did i do in my past life….I think we all ask that from time to time. I am still suffering from breaking 7 giant mirrors that were shipped from England!
